Airware is proud to be the launch partner alongside the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on the release of their Contactless Travel Directory.
The directory helps airlines identify and offer contactless travel at specific airports, including with partner airlines, creating interoperable biometric systems. It is designed to ease access and accelerate contactless travel adoption, aligning with Airware’s Smart Travel Initiative and commitment to the contactless mobile transformation.
Airware will demonstrate the directory's use at their booth (9836) using their ‘WorldJet’ demonstration airline app, powered by Airware’s Identity Service. Delegates at the Passenger Terminal Expo in Madrid (April 8-10) can enrol with biometric systems at fictitious airports provided by identity service providers iPassport and IDEMIA. Travellers will then pass through biometric touchpoints, simulating the real-world airport experience.
“We’re thrilled to support IATA with this innovative launch. As an agnostic technology enabler, we want to empower the aviation industry with the tools required to deliver truly seamless travel. The Contactless Travel Directory is a significant step towards industry-wide adoption and interoperability, and we are proud to be part of this,” said Finbarr Ring, Director of EMEA, Airware Solutions.
